(JW Insights) Oct 8 -- Winners of the GMIF 2023 Annual Awards were announced at the Global Memory Innovation Forum (GMIF) 2023 for their technological and product achievements.

Held successfully held in Shenzhen of southern China’s Guangdong Province on September 21-22, GMIF 2023 was hosted by the China Semiconductor Investment Alliance and Shenzhen Memory Industry Association with the sponsorship from the Guangdong Integrated Circuit Industry Association and the Shenzhen Semiconductor Industry Association. JW Insights was the organizer of the event.

Following is a detailed list of the award winners:

Intel (英特尔) was awarded the Outstanding Company in Industrial Leadership. As a leader in storage platforms and technology, Intel provides foundational processors and related technological innovations for storage products. Its fourth-generation Intel Xeon server platform launched in 2023 takes the scalability of server memory and high-performance storage to new heights.

Huawei (华为) received the Outstanding Industrial Influence award. Huawei's all-flash storage technology has been certified by international authoritative institutions and has reached industry-leading levels in performance, reliability, and scalability.

Tsinghua Tongfang (清华同方) won the Outstanding Brand Contribution award. The Tsinghua Tongfang brand has become the only domestic manufacturer with a complete technology roadmap and product forms. It achieved excellent market share in the popularization and development of information technology application innovation from 2019 to 2022.

Shenzhen-based Emdoor DIGI (亿道数码) won the Outstanding Service in Smart Terminals award. Founded in 2010, Emdoor DIGI is a subsidiary of Emdoor INFO. It is a solution provider for tablets and laptops.

Shenzhen-based Emdoor INFO (亿道信息) won the Outstanding Innovation in Smart Terminals award. It focuses on products and solutions such as ruggedized handheld terminals, tablets, laptops, industrial terminal equipment, and in-vehicle tablets.

Shenzhen-based IP3 Technology (英众科技) won the Outstanding Influence in Smart Terminals award. Founded in 2013, it is a one-stop solution provider for global consumer electronics and intelligent Internet products. Its products cover laptops, tablets, Mini PCs, all-in-one computers, PC peripherals, servers, IoT, industrial control and other smart terminals.

Shenzhen-based Weibu Information(微步信息) won the Outstanding Support in Smart Terminals award. It was founded in 2001, and its product line covers electronic digital, intelligent transportation, intelligent education, home PCs, new retail, servers, intelligent industrial control, and intelligent monitoring.

Shenzhen-based Biwin (佰维存储) won the Outstanding Industrial Service award. It focuses on its main memory business and deepens its layout in R&D, packaging, and testing. It has grown into a leading brand in Chinese semiconductor memory and advanced packaging and testing.

Phytium (飞腾) won the Outstanding Industrial Leader award. It is a leading independent CPU provider in China. It is committed to the design and development of its series of domestic high-performance and low-power general computing microprocessors.

Maxwell (迈为科技) won the Outstanding Innovation in Packaging Equipment award. As an emerging force in semiconductor equipment, Maxwell focuses on semiconductor pan-cutting and 2.5D/3D advanced packaging, providing overall packaging process solutions. The company took the lead in realizing the localization of equipment in full-size semiconductor wafer laser modification cutting, laser grooving, knife wheel cutting, and grinding in China.

Heyan Technology (和研科技) won the Outstanding Packaging Equipment award. Based in Shenyang, northeastern China's Liaoning Province, it is a national-level "little giant" company specializing in the R&D, production, sales, and service of semiconductor special equipment, accessories, and consumables.

Tytantest (态坦测试) won the Outstanding Breakthrough in Packaging Equipment award. Founded in March 2023 in Chengdu, southwestern China's Sichuan Province, and a subsidiary of Biwin, Tytantest focuses on the core area of semiconductor (storage/SoC) testing. It's committed to the research and development breakthrough of domestic high-end semiconductor testing equipment.

Attach Point (触点智能) won the Outstanding Support in Packaging Equipment award. Based in Dongguan, southern China's Guangdong Province, Attach Point is China's first and only mass manufacturer of ultra-thin memory chip bonding machines.

Shenzhen-based LK-Auto (立可自动化) won the Outstanding Leadership in Packaging Equipment award. It has worked on precision ball planting technology for six years and achieved a 0 to 1 breakthrough in the domestic fully automatic BGA ball planting machine.

Hemei Jingyi (和美精艺) won the Outstanding IC Substrate Supplier award. The Shenzhen-based company was founded in 2007 and focuses on NAND and DRAM substrates. Its products are widely used in various fields, such as automotive, industrial control, and consumer products.

Suzhou Oukangnuo Electronic Technology(苏州欧康诺电子科技) won the Outstanding Memory Testing System Award. Oukangnuo has thirteen years of experience in the development of memory testing systems. From HDD to SSD and NAND chips, their completely self-developed testing systems provide robust assurance for the quality of memory.

Silicon Motion(慧荣科技) received the Outstanding Controller Contribution Award. Silicon Motion is a global leader in NAND flash controller chips, supporting various types of flash produced by major NAND manufacturers. Their clientele includes major NAND manufacturers, module factories for storage devices, large data centers, and other OEM manufacturers.

Shenzhen Kingspec Electronics Technology(深圳市金胜电子科技) won the Outstanding Industrial Control Market Innovation award. Kingspec Electronics, established in 2007, is a national high-tech enterprise engaged in R&D and manufacturing of SSD products and has cooperated with various enterprises and institutions, including China National Petroleum Corporation, Tsinghua Tongfang, Great Wall, Hikvision, Lenovo, Shenzhen University and ZTE.

Maxio Technology(联芸科技) received the Outstanding Controller Innovation award. Maxio Technology is a chip design company that provides chips for data storage controller, AIoT sensing signal processing and transmission. The company has built a complete range of SSD controllers from SATA to PCIe Gen5.0 and introduced innovative flash self-adaptive patented technology, making it compatible with all NAND Flash chips from seven major NAND manufacturers globally.

InnoGrit(英韧科技) won the Outstanding Controller Benchmark award. Since its establishment in 2017, InnoGrit has been involved in the field of storage, providing high-quality and reliable storage controller chips and solid-state drive solutions.

Shenzhen Techwinsemi Technology(深圳市德明利技术) won the Outstanding Controller Breakthrough award. The company achieved breakthroughs in adapting to the latest technology levels and multilayer storage wafers, addressing different application scenarios, and high-speed read and write functions.

YEESTOR(得一微电子) received the Outstanding Controller Service award. YEESTOR is one of the few companies in China that possesses core storage control chip technology with an estimated global market share of 23.87% in 2022, with an annual shipment volume of over 22 million chips.

Ray MX(合肥沛睿微电子) was awarded the Outstanding Controller Performance. Ray MX possesses core storage control chip technology, achieves large-scale independent research and development, and covers all three major product lines of solid-state drives embedded and expansion storage solutions.

Powev (深圳市嘉合劲威电子科技) won the Outstanding Service in ICT Innovation award. Powev is dedicated to providing high-quality, efficient, and professionally reliable ICT services.

Shenzhen Quanxing Technology(深圳市铨兴科技) received the Outstanding Brand Influence award. Quanxing is an integrated semiconductor storage product solutions provider. It is a rare high-tech enterprise in China that can cover both the DRAM and NAND Flash fields.

KingFast (新金速存储技术) was awarded the Outstanding Brand Performance. Founded in 2008, KingFast specializes in R&D of solid-state disk storage technology.
