(JW Insights) Nov 3 -- China aims to build an innovation system for humanoid robots by 2025, report China Daily on November 2.
The system’s goal is making breakthroughs in several key technologies such as "brain, cerebellum, and limbs" to ensure the safe and effective supply of core components, the country’s top industry regulator said in a guideline on November 2.
The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology said in the guideline on the development of humanoid robots that it aims to cultivate two to three globally influential ecological enterprises, a group of specialized small and medium-sized enterprises, and create two to three industrial development clusters by 2025.
The ministry also aims to have machine products reach international advanced levels and achieve mass production by 2025, according to the China Daily report.
