(JW Insights) May 4 -- Luxshare Precision(立讯精密), a Chinese electronics manufacturing service provider, has secured three orders from Apple for its iPhone 15 series this year, including the iPhone 15, 15 Plus, and 15 Pro models, JW Insights learned.
This marks the first time that Luxshare has won orders for three new iPhone models from Apple. While Luxshare will serve as the main supplier for the iPhone 15 Plus, the final decision on production volume remains subject to the production rate, revealed by Apple's suppliers.
It is also the first time that high-end iPhone Pro models have been shared among three companies- Luxshare and Taiwan-based Hon Hai(鸿海) and Pegatron(和硕). The global supply chain has been disrupted by the pandemic, leading to significant restructuring of this year's new product manufacturing orders.
Founded in 2004 and listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange in September 2010, Luxshare Precision provides cable assembly and connector system solutions for global clients in consumer, automotive, cloud, and enterprise applications. Its head office is in Dongguan of southern China's Guangdong Province, according to its website.
In 2022, Luxshare was mainly responsible for manufacturing Apple's iPhone 14 and 14Plus, said the JW Insights report.
