(JW Insights) Oct 16 -- In the first nine months of 2023, China's integrated circuits (IC) imports numbered 355.85 billion units and were valued at $252.926 billion, down by 14.6% and 19.8% year on year, respectively, showed data released by the General Administration of Customs of China (GACC) on October 13.
China's IC imports in September alone numbered 42.55 billion units, according to GACC.
Imports of diodes and similar semiconductor devices numbered 334.63 billion units, down 29.5%, with a value of $17.352 billion, down 20.5% in the first nine months. Their number in September was 42.71 billion units.
Imports of LCD flat panel display modules alone numbered 93.596 million units in September. Their total number from January to September is 998.473 million units, down 11.9% compared to last year's. Their value was $8.834 billion, a decrease of 25.7%.
