(JW Insights) Oct 24 -- Chinese AI giant iFlytek released its large language model SparkDesk 3.0 version at the 6th World Sound Expo and 2023 iFlytek Global Developer Festival on October 24 in its headquarters in Hefei, eastern China's Anhui Province.
The SparkDesk 3.0 version has improved in seven major abilities, including text generation, language understanding, knowledge answering, logic reasoning, and mathematical ability. The local Hefei Daily reports that its Chinese ability has surpassed ChatGPT, and its English ability is equivalent to it.
SparkDest has undergone four major technology iterations since its first release on May 6 and was open to the public on September 5. As of now, the number of its users exceeds 12 million.
On October 24, iFlytek Chairman Liu Qingfeng said the company has teamed up with Huawei to create an independent and controllable large-model computing power base, the "Feixing No. 1" platform, based on the Huawei Ascend ecosystem. The iFlytek SparkDesk model will start larger-scale training against GPT-4 on the platform, according to a Chinese finance media outlet eastmoney.com.
